,I'm currently taking AP European History (I'm a sophomore in high school) and it's kinda boring... all you have to do is pretty much read the text book (Western Civilization I believe) and memorize the info in there.
,Although I haven't taken APUSH yet, I have a feeling it may be more interesting for us Americans, considering that course teaches you about your own country's history, rather than learning about random leaders in Europe in the 15th century. It seems like APUSH is a hard class overall, but every student is different.You might have to do more research and self-reflection before you decide definitively whether this class will fit comfortably into your schedule. But AP euro consists of many perspectives... And there are so many kings with similar names, treaties, wars, etc. Most of the stuff is general knowledge, though I haven't taken my AP exam yet, my AMSCO book is preparing me for that:)
,I agree with Thispakistanigir, APUSH can get a little boring at times. Otherwise, colleges would not accept the scores for credit. I am in AP euro and everyone I know is taking APUSH next year. APUSH is about so much more than dates and names. Of course, the threshold of 90% that's typically used is arbitrary, and some courses have harder exams than others, but the fact that the above percentages are lower than 90% (and in some cases *much* lower) is a weak argument that the standards for getting a 5 on an AP exam are lenient (and in some cases *very* lenient). ,The best way I can think of to put the courses' differences in perspective is this: AP US covers 200 years of the history of a single country, while AP Euro covers 500 years of the histories of around 50 countries.

APUSH has a notorious reputation of being one of the most challenging classes at our school - whether that's in part because of the teacher or the class itself, I'm not sure. Press J to jump to the feed. it covers a much broader time span (think at least 1,000 years) while apush covers closer to 300 years (it's very rare you'll see a columbian-era question on the exam). I think APUSH was harder then Euro. the kids at my school consider ap world to be much harder than apush but it might be bc of the diff teachers. It's the kind of subject that's extremely interesting and rigorous at the same time.
